Stephen Nasse triumphed over Bubba Pollard in a thrilling contest at the Show Me The Money Series event at Montgomery Motor Speedway this past Saturday, marking another impressive performance in the 2024 Pro Late Model series.

This clash between Nasse and Pollard was a highly anticipated one, though Nasse's participation in the Pro Late Model series added an element of surprise. This event marked only his second race at Montgomery in this category, his first return since competing in the 2022 Alabama 200.

Pollard was a last-minute addition to the lineup, stepping in for Jim Wall who fell ill on race day. Despite not originally being slated to race, Pollard quickly showed his prowess by setting the fastest time during qualifying and starting the race in fourth position, just behind Nasse who started fifth.

The race saw Nasse grab the lead by the 50th lap, but Pollard managed to overtake him shortly thereafter. The lead switched back to Nasse on lap 68 following a vigorous restart, allowing him to pull ahead and maintain his position to secure the victory. Nasse's win at Montgomery adds to his recent successes, including a victory at the SpeedFest Pro Late Model event and a second place at the Baby Rattler 125.

In the winner's circle, Nasse expressed his excitement, acknowledging the challenging race and his enjoyment of the intense competition with Pollard. "It was a tough race but incredibly fun. I'm glad we could put on a great show for the fans," Nasse remarked.

Pollard, unexpectedly driving the No. 91 Jim Wall Racing car, also reflected positively on his unexpected race day. "Jumping into the race last minute was a blast. It's been a while since I've driven a Pro car, but it felt great," Pollard said, appreciative of the opportunity.

The race also saw John Bolen finish third, with Jake Finch and Zack Dixon rounding out the top five. Finch, after this event, is leading in the Show Me The Money points standings, following a runner-up performance in the Alabama 200.

Moreover, this race initiated the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Challenge, a series linking several tracks including Montgomery Motor Speedway, Five Flags Speedway, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, and Mobile International Speedway, with a separate points fund for competitors across these venues.

The next event in the Show Me The Money Series, the Disturbing the Peace 100, is set to take place on Saturday, May 25, during the Memorial Day weekend.
